There’s a lot of problems with optionality maxxing that aren’t really internalized by young people like me
For one you lose time getting real data on what you like / don’t. So while you preserve options you have no instinct on which option is more valuable to you. Because your preferences aren’t consensus
Like you don’t make decision by sitting in a room and thinking. When you can’t choose it means EV of options is ~same so you pick one and get information and pivot accordingly. You just keep pivoting until you find alignment. Ironically even though you may take a step in the wrong direction locally, globally you are moving towards a stable end state
